Governor lauds forces for operations but is pained at militant killings | KNO

Jammu, January 24 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Thursday said that he is pained to see militants being killed in the Valley. According to KNO, Malik made these comments at Jammu while praising Jammu and Kashmir police for its pro active role against militancy in the region. "The security forces and State police were performing its duty in the best possible way. But even if a militant loses his life, I feel pained. They all should come back to the mainstream,” Malik told reporters on the sidelines of an event. “I tried to give forces the best facilities,” Malik said while adding that forces have been conducting operations in tough situations and heavy snow. “While we are sleeping in our homes at night, they are conducting operations, sometimes till three in the morning,” Malik said.(KNO)
